| Yuuki Aoi with Okamoto Nobuhiko (left) and Yonaga Tsubasa at a Yumeiro Patissiere party. All are safe. |
This sounds like she was one of the "return-home refugees" who had to walk or otherwise make their way home from downtown Tokyo with the trains not running.
Ao-chan's 2channel thread has been boiling with concern, adding over 200 posts in the past twelve hours. Some posters said that they cried when they learned she was okay.
Some of the major names still not heard from:
Kobayashi Yuu apologizes for taking a while to let people know she was okay, but she was trying to contact her own relatives. This weekend was supposed to be her fan club bus tour: two days and a night at a Chiba waterfront hotel. Needless to say, waterfront hotels are closed, and the trip has been suspended.
Here is a list from the new wiki of seiyuus whom we still have not heard from, at this point:

Aoki Sayaka Akiya Tomoko Asano Mayumi Ichiryuusai Teiyuu
Itou Miki Omigawa Chiaki Ooyama Nobuyo Orikasa Ai

So, the crossed out names means that they are safe
@Anonymous -- Yes. Thanks for asking. I'll add something in the post to make that clearer.
@hashi Thanks for the Answer. Now i'm slightly relieved. I hope our favourite Country can pull through this. Please Guys don't give up. (Oh BTW, I'm the first Anonymous from the Comments here, Nice to meet you Hashi)
miyuki sawashiro? ._.
Wow. That's still a lot of names. Wishing everybody affected the best.
Mayumi Tanaka
Kazuya Nakai
Hiroaki Hirata
Akemi Okamura
Ikue Ohtani
And these guys?
What about Kanemoto Hisako? No matter where I go I can't find anything on her.
Would it be possible to see sources for "Agencies reporting all their seiyuus safe: Ken Pro, 81 Produce, Maus Promotion, Arts Vision, Aoni Pro."? It would be a great help.
1. List from anonymous: see previous post comment. No report on any of those.
2. Miyukicchi is okay.
3. @Shiroi Hane -- Those reports about agencies are from individuals posting on 2channel who say they have called the offices. So not rock-solid data. The best I can do is give this list from the wiki, which you can use to search ja.Wikipedia and/or Google for the agencies: ※賢プロ・81プロデュース・マウスプロモーション・アーツビジョン・青二は事務所ごと確認済
ja.Wikipedia gives agency name for each seiyuu, and the seiyuu agencies' home pages give lists of male and female seiyuus.
@anonymous -- Kanemoto Hisako is okay.
There is a list on ANN:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-03-11/anime/manga/game-industry-members-check-in-after-quake
Norio Wakamoto is fine
http://twitter.com/#!/trombe_boss/status/46515415274364928
BTW, check this spreadsheet instead since this is somewhat the most updated:

So is Kugimiya Rie safe?
I was one of the person who cried when I know about her safety... I pray for her safety the entire 3 days~ Thank goodness she's safe~
Having to walk home after such an event through the rubble-strewn streets sounds almost as scary as being in the quake itself, almost like, well, the get-across-town-to-save-my-parents trek in a typical disaster movie. Especially for Yuuki Aoi, if she lives all the way in Chiba city.
I sent $50 to the Salvation Army today.
Where is Akeno Watanabe!! please someone answer me to know if she's ok or what?? she is from osawa's office. Im extremely worried :S
The spreadsheet in anonymous's post is good. Solid evidence for each seiyuu. But that does leave out some of the less solid but probably true reports of the safety of seiyuus such as Hayami Saori. Kamon's ANN list does have her, however. And there are also the 2ch thread and the wiki mentioned in my posts.
Kugyu's safety has apparently not been verified. I read a report that she had been mentioned in another blog, but no source, and two Japanese forums say it's not certain yet, since they can't find the source, either.
Now the 3 seiyuu I'm worried are Kanemoto Hisako, Kugimiya Rie, and Omigawa Chiaki... Hope they are okay~ :(
@KamiyaCheap -- I have no real info on any of those. Kanemoto was supposedly with staff at 12:30, but the quake was around 2:30.
@maichan16 -- I can find no info for Watanabe Akeno. She is listed on 2channel as not having been confirmed safe.
So that means she in Tokyo?
And why is Kugimiya Rie name appear on Google missing person search~ Is this a prank~ or another Kugimiya Rie~
http://yunakiti.blog79.fc2.com/blog-entry-8125.html
Did the post on the twitter got deleted?
There are way much more Seiyuu's out there than actually listed both safe and still missing. I hope the unlisted ones (or the less popular ones) are fine, too.
Does somebody know anything about Arisa Ogasawara, Youko Honna, Shouko Nakagawa and Katashi Ishizuka(but i guess noone knows him, though). I'm worried.
Kanemoto Hisako seem to be safe~ the source I don't know where they got it but it seem like she's safe~
is Kugimiya Rie safe ? i need to know its killing me
I'm worried about Kugimiya Rie... Yesterday she was crossed out and now... :<
And what about Satoshi Hino?
can anyone read Japanese. It says here something about Kugimiya Rie
http://twitter.com/sogorukyo
He say Kugyuu is safe~ (YEAH)
No word from Omigawa Chiaki. :(
Well I just hope for the best for everyone in this obviously difficult time. Great blog you have here Hashisan.
Any news about Masako Nozawa or Takeshi Kusao?
Yukino Satsuki is safe.
Yahagi Sayuri is safe.
Orikasa Fumiko safe.
Ochiai Yurika is safe (she's now called Hase Yurina)
Nakagawa Shouko has published to her blog.
I'll keep looking around for other names mentioned. Nothing yet on Omigawa Chiaki, Arisu Ogasawara, Honna Youko.
Sakura Ayane also~ where is she~ Still no news on Omigawa Chiaki?
I'm hoping that a recent post to the missing seiyuus thread on 2channel is right, condemning seiyuu otaku for going overboard on this, considering that very few of Tokyo's 13 million people were hurt.
But I can't help being concerned at the number of names still not accounted for, including Omigawa Chiaki, Itou Miki, Hayami Saori, and the others.
What did the seiyuu otaku do that is considered overboard?
By not caring about the other people that are hurt?
Wait... isn't Hayami Saori safe~
I wonder why there's no post on Seiyuu condition on 2ch right now~ can't seem to find any~
Takayama Minami is safe too. She wrote this on her blog ^_____^ Don't worry!)))
Omigawa Chiaki is safe!!! Thank goodness!!!
http://www.omigawa.net/kotoba_no_chizu/kotoba_no_chizu.html
How about Haruka Tomatsu? '.'
http://ameblo.jp/tomatsuharuka-blog/entry-10827911686.html
Haru-chan is fine~
At least I don't have to worry about a lot of the other seiyuus anymore{like Nakai, Takagi or Hiyama}... That's a good thing to know.
Any word on Rikiya Koyama yet?
@Kamiya Cheap -- Thanks for all the info you (and others) have provided here.
The current thread on 2channel is:
http://hato.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/voice/1300061091/
I'm also finding the foreigners' spreadsheet good:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?hl=en&hl=en&key=tJGqk96XYAsMueFout6fz4Q&authkey=CNjfz9sC#gid=0
The Japanese wiki is interesting, but lacks corroborating info: http://www45.atwiki.jp/seiyu-live/pages/15.html
I'm disappointed that more agencies haven't posted info about their people. I"m Enterprise, in particular.
@anonymous -- It can seem that otaku (including ourselves) are going a bit overboard because there wasn't much injury in Tokyo itself. I suspect one reason the agencies haven't posted is that they never had any worries about their people.
I like the Japanese way of referring to die-hard seiyuu fans as "sei-ota" ("seiyuu otaku")
Namikawa Daisuke,Kazuki Kato,Tsuda Kenjirou,Hidekazu Ichinose - safe? ;_;
@hashin You're welcome Hashin~ I'm happy to help... I'm very worried about them... I been rooming on 2ch, seiyuu blog, twitter, and their agency homepage since Friday~
The spreadsheet is made by one of my FB friend, friends. (one of his friend) I help out abit there~
Production Baobab updated their blog on 3/14/11, unsure if this counts as a confirmation for Satomi Koorogi: http://baobab.dreamlog.jp/
Hazuki Erino, Hayami Saori reported safe on Japanese wiki, but without giving source.
Anybody know if Yoshinori Fujita (Kaoru Hitachiin in Ouran High School Host Club, Justin Law in Soul Eater and Masumi Okuyama in Nodame Cantabile) is okay?
Oh Men, still no news on Sakura Ayane~ WTH!
Still no word on Mr. Rikiya Koyama yet, I'm really started to get worried here...
Yoshinori Fujita is from the Artsvision Agency and they say that all of thier seiyuus are fine.
Hayami Saori is safe. She and the other Sekirei seiyuus have been mailing back and forth, and Inoue Marina posted one of her messages.
Endou Aya (Matsu) says that since the power is off at her place, she has gotten into bed with Minato. The others (Tsukiumi/Marina, Kusano/Hanazawa Kana, Musubi/Hayami Saori) all say that she is being tricky, and they all want to get into Minato's futon together.
Watanabe Akeno is safe. A blog post from the heavy metal band she sings with says all its members are okay.
I laugh when Marina is mailing with Endo Aya, Hayami Saori, and Kana-tan all at the same time!!! XDD
I want news on Sakura Akane~
I'm glad to see that a lot of seiyuu and mangaka are in fact still alive.
But it seems to me we're still missing some people: Rikiya Koyama, Yoshiko Sakakibara, Kazuki Yao and Tomoko Kawakami.
Does anybody know of their status yet? I'm really getting concerned here...
I know i already asked, but does anybody have information about the whereabouts for : Ishizuka Katashi(石塚堅), Ogasawara Arisa (小笠原亜里沙) and Honna Youko (本名陽子). That they are not listed anywhere makes me kinda suspicious and sad, too.
Omigawa Chiaki and her family are okay. She has posted in her blog.
Baobab has reported all its seiyuus safe, so Kawakami Tomoko is safe.
That's good to know. But there's STILL no word on Koyama and Yao.
It's really stressful...
I think Ogasawara Arisa is safe; if anything had happened to her, I would guess the Panty & Stocking Twitter would have mentioned it.
Is Kōichi Tōchika okay? ;________; /sadface
> Alchemist & other fans of Honna Youko: I have an important news that not everyone pays attention to. She's alright right now and her blog (http://ameblo.jp/honna-yoko/page-1.html#main) will confirm that although my Japanese is very limited. Here's her Twitter page;
http://twitter.com/honnayoko
@Kenshin_Asuka
Thanks for the Info. Now i hope there are updates about Ogasawara Arisa & Ishizuka Katashi anytime soon
Touchika Kouichi is okay.
No word yet on Ogasawara Arisa & Ishizuka Katashi
Koyama Rikiya has updated his blog. He says he is fine. He had just finished a recording session and was walking on a street in Roppongi when the quake happened.
I'm sorry, but I have some serious news. I was shocked to find that Sumi Shimamoto-sama was not heard of either. Not to mention Horiuchi Kenyu-sama is also not heard of as well. I haven't found news of Shizuma Hodoshima(FFIV[NDS], dFF, DFF012) or of Yukari Fukui-san(DFF as FFVI heroine, DFF012, FFXIII) either. You know, voicing the characters from the games in parentheses? I hope all those seiyus are okay, and so are actors Shizuma Hodoshima and Bunta Sugawara-san.
Does anyone know about Miki Itou? I'm really, really hoping she's okay. She's been my favourite seiyuu since ever ...
Fukui Yukari has posted to her blog.
Horiuchi Kenyuu (and his whole agency) are fine.
No word yet on Itou Miki, but she apparently lives in Sakura City in the middle of Chiba, so tsunami effects will have been nil.
Nothing from Ogasawara Arisu.
Thank you for your update, Hashi! I have a friend who was in that area of Tokyo as well at the time of the disaster, and he was completely unharmed ( simply got a big scare ), so I've got ( quite ) some hope for miss Itou now. Thank you again!
Any news about Tachiki Fumihiko?
@anonymous -- Tachiki Fumihiko is safe.
Still no word on Ogasawara Arisu or Itou Miki, but I think we would have heard if anything had happened to them.
MORE: Some people in Itou Miki's 2channel thread say they recognize her voice in an earthquake-relief TV commercial.
Is there a link to this commercial, Hashi? I'd like to check it out as well, if possible.
@rasenritsu -- I'm sorry, I haven't seen it. I've only seen comments from people on 2channel who had seen it on TV in Japan.
Ah, that is too bad. I'll just put my faith in those that commented they'd recognized her voice. I find it rather distinct, and if multiple people say it, it's probably so. Thank you!
